Galia Rosado 2013 ist das persönliche Projekt der französischen Önologen Jerome Bougnaud, der für Pingus, Quinta Sardonia and El Regajal arbeitet, sowie Daniel Garcia Pita, des Inhabers von El Regajal.
Mit dem Galia Rosado steht der historische, kastillische Clarete wieder auf, ein Weißwein mit der Farbe und der Anmutung eines Rotweins.

Vinifikation/Ausbau
Es wird keine malolaktische Gärung durchgeführt, der Most reift zum einen in einem Zementei, zum anderen in einem Tonamphore über 7-8 Monate. Nach der Abfüllung bleibt der Wein noch etwa 9 Monate in der Bodega, um sich abzurunden. Im Juni 2016 kam er auf den Markt.

The 2013 Galia Rosado is produced with grapes from Trigueros del Valle within Cigales, from a vineyard that has the blend that was traditionally used in the claretes of the zone, plus white Albillo grapes that were intermixed in the old Tempranillo in some plots in Ribera del Duero. The wine aged in egg-shaped cement vats and has an intriguing nose with herbal notes, some aromas that you’d link to whites with character, and an earthy, clear and focused mineral feeling. It might have initial reduction, so decant energetically. It has a bit of a wild character and the palate is quite sharp (no malo), with clean, fresh flavors and an herbal side that provides freshness. A rose full of character with the stuffing to age in bottle. Bravo! Drink now-2015+.
