Tumba del Rey Moro 2013 entstand durch die Zusammenarbeit dreier Önologen, die rund um Madrid in Ihren eigenen Kellereien sehr profilierte Weine herstellen. Die Kooperation nennt sich Comando G und besteht aus Daniel Gómez Jiménez-Landi von Bodegas Jiménez-Landi, Fernando García von Bodegas Marañones und Marc Isart von Bodegas Bernabeleva. Mit 97/100 Punkten ist er der höchstbewertetete unter 242 Weinen der Garnacha - Verkostung des Wine Advocate im Oktober 2014.
Weinbereitung
Der Most wird in offenen Barriques vergoren und kommt nach der Fermentation für 12 Monate in ein 700 L Fuder und ein 500 L Fass aus französischer Eiche.

This half hectare of ungrafted vines at some 1,100 meters altitude is located in a very austere place, full of granite boulders, cold and north-facing, so even colder. The vinification and upbringing of these single plot wines is all the same, so what you see in the bottle is the differences in the vineyards, the climate, altitude, soil and so on... The nose is intoxicating: dry flowers, wild berries, spices, wet stones, rock rose, something citric... The palate is sharp as a knife, even when figures might not show very high acidity. Again this is much more concentrated and powerful than it seems. Deciding between these micro cuvées is splitting hairs. This is fantastic, but in 2013 I also like the Las Umbría's very much. 2,300 bottles produced in 2013.

(aged for a year in used 500- and 700-liter French oak barrels): Vibrant ruby-red. Highly perfumed aromas of raspberry, cherry liqueur, Asian spices and rose pastille, with subtle white pepper and mineral notes emerging as the wine opens in the glass. Juicy, penetrating and alluringly sweet, offering fresh red and dark berry preserve flavors and a smoky mineral overtone. This impressively vibrant, pure, extroverted wine finishes with excellent clarity and length and a lingering floral character.
