James Suckling - 11. Sept 2020 - Bodegas Lanzaga Corriente 2018 - 94/100
A dense, very polished red with beautiful tannins and complex flavors of dark berries, plums and walnuts with some fresh herbs and spices that come through subtly at the finish. Full and creamy. Drink after 2022

The Wine Advocate # 251 - 30th Oct 2020 - Luis Gutiérrez - 2018 Telmo Rodríguez • Corriente - 91/100 - $15-20 - 2020-2023
I love the 2018 Corriente, the entry-level in Rioja (even if they made me taste it after Las Beatas!). It's from a year with lots of rain (600 liters) that created some fungal challenges and a late harvest that started on the 8th of October and went on until the 1st of November! It was produced with grapes from different altitudes and soils around Lanciego and fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats. It matured in barriques and foudres for close to a year. It has a very expressive nose with great purity and definition, marking the character of what the 2018s from the single vineyards are going to be like. 50,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2020.
