The 2025 Basa marks the 30th anniversary of the wine, which showcases the variety’s expression in a continental climate, delivering a fresh style that reflects the Castilian landscape of river stones and pine forests. The 2025 season began with harvest on September 11, which was slightly earlier than in 2024 and follows a year of contrasts: a cool winter and spring delayed vine development, while an extremely hot summer with intense heat waves and significant mildew pressure from spring rains reduced yields across Rueda. Despite a markedly smaller crop, adequate water reserves and resilient conditions ensured healthy grapes. They wanted to avoid the tropical profile of many wines in the region. It's 90% Verdejo and 10% Viura, fermented and matured with the lees in stainless steel. It finished with 13.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.39 and 5.09 grams of acidity. It's still young and a little reductive at this early stage, but it's fresh and balanced, with a clean, dry and serious finish. 360,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2026.
