The Wine Advocate #251 - 30th Oct 2020 - Luis Gutiérrez - 2016 Remelluri Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos de Labastia - 94/100 - $34
The 2016 Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos de Labastida, from a high-yielding year, matured in a combination of barriques of different origins and aged for 13 months. It has contained ripeness, integrated alcohol, nice balance and a nice expression on the nose. It shows more restraint than the one from San Vicente. I think the year shows the character of each village quite faithfully, and this time I prefer the Labastida again. It has a nice thread on the palate, velvety textured with very fine tannins. 53,927 bottles produced. It was bottled in April and May 2018.

James Suckling - September 14, 2020 - Remelluri Rioja Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos de Labastida 2016 - 94/100
A tightly wound red with deep, dark fruit with lots of chocolate and spice. Medium-to full-bodied with lovely density and nature. Fine, creamy tannins and a flavorful finish. Subtle and real. Drink after 2021, but a beauty now, too.

Der Decanter schreibt in dem Artikel "Why Bordeaux still reigns Rioja":
"The Bordeaux concept is alive in two of the finest bogedas of the region. The single-vineyard/multiple plot concept at Remelluri was such that it could have been at Latour. While Riscal's yearly four million bottles may represent Rioja around the world, the vineyards speak louder at Contino and Remelluri"
