Telmo Rodríguez, Sohn des Inhabers Jaime Rodríguez-Salis machte Remelluri mit seiner moderen, frankophilen (Bordeaux/Burgund) Interpretation seines Weins in den 90er Jahren weltberühmt.
Seit dem Jahrgang 1998 zeichnet die Baskin Ana Baron für den Wein verantwortlich: der 98er, 99er und der 2000er Jahrgang des Reserva wurde bereits unter der Ihrer Ägide als Önologin erzeugt.

($28; a blend selected by U.S. importer Jorge Ordoñez) From a decanted bottle: Deep ruby-red. Rather syrah-like aromas of dark fruits, flint, meat and pepper. Juicy, intensely flavored and nicely delineated but a bit dry; perhaps going through a dip in its evolution in bottle. Not yet complex but nicely balanced. The same wine straight from a second bottle was more reduced on the nose and distinctly tougher in the middle, but showed a longer finish, with the tannins arriving later. This needs time. (An approximate blend of the 2001 just prior to bottling showed sweeter, more pliant fruit; more inner-mouth aromatic complexity; and a richer, longer finish, with riper tannins. This wine merited a 91-93 rating and has the potential to be one of the top vintages to date from this estate.) (Fine Estates From Spain, Dedham, MA)
